A 10 second loop of television static noise, with audio track. This used to be seen frequently on analogue television screens when no transmission was being received, or on playback of empty VHS cassette tapes. Nowadays TV’s respond to a lack of video signal by displaying a blue screen.
The noise was created in After Effects using Fractal Noise effects, whilst the audio was exported from Audacity’s Noise effect.
We also use this old tv noise technique to great effect in our awesome Retro VHS Screen and Text Effects Motion Graphics template for Premiere Pro.
This is a QuickTime video file and can be imported into most video editing programs.
